To answer the question above, no! Blogging certainly is not dead.
However, the terminology may have changed a bit from industry to industry. The essence of making a post on your website about a topic (i.e. blog) is still the same.
You may often see this now referred to as a “news” section on a website. However, regardless of the name the benefit remains the same:
- You can say a LOT more in a blog post than you can in a social media post. You can then link your social media post to your blog and gain direct traffic to your website.
- Every time a blog is posted, that is one more indexed page on your website, which means it’s one more opportunity for you to show up in search engines and drive traffic to your website in organic search.
- These blog posts can also be sent out as email messages to your customer base reminding them of other services you offer, time sensitive services, new product launches, etc…
