How It All Started

When I first met the founders of Eat Drink Host at the Dallas Gift and Home Market, my brain exploded. Loving to entertain myself, I immediately got the creative concept behind their brand. Visions of how I could translate their ideas into dynamite graphics and other products danced in my head. They must have seen the sparks flying, because I got my first shot at this account with a simple label design.

Product Designs

Having a vision for your products, but a lack of technical skillset to bring them to life is frustrating. For this client we created product designs including patterns and full scope collections. Not only on trend, but factory-ready, print-ready designs.

“If we could point to one person who has helped us get where we are today, it is Crystal Oakes. I don’t know what we’d do without her!”

Challenges

The Eat Drink Host founders came from the HR and recruiting fields, and had no experience in product design, graphic design or photography. “We just saw the space in the partyware market to offer something that would differentiate party givers in an affordable and easy way,” says Brittany “We had been through several graphic designers and couldn’t find anyone who got our vision and could run with our themes.  And we had an immediate need for a catalog to launch our new product line.“

Solution

Crystal nailed the first product design they gave her and immediately started filling all their gaps in the design side of their business. She now produces their catalog and does all the product photography, as well as creates new products. She is, in effect their design partner. “My clients can now focus on the operations side of the business. This solution enables the highest and best use of all our talents, and we work great together as a team. That’s what I love the most: Being able to contribute to my client’s success!”

“Crystal’s work is so impressive, we’ve had CEO’s from big national companies at market ask who we use for our design. (Not tellin’!) We started the business in 2016 (pre-Crystal partnership), and our revenue increased by 175% year-over-year in 2017 thanks to our relationship with Crystal"

You’re not alone. We’ve seen a lot of business owners and solopreneurs struggle with consistency in their marketing, unfortunately stripping them of immense growth and opportunity. Yikes! So, we decided to launch The Marketing Lounge, a monthly membership for entrepreneurs to continue their education and marketing with group accountability.
